The automatic casting machines need a complete automation of the different control’s and supervision’s parts and a visualization’s system, allowing the machine’s driving. The basic GAPCast’s components are coposed of a programmable automate (Siemens Simatic S7) and a SCADA System (Siemens WinCC) installed in a computer.
This assembly, Hardware and Software, allowed the realization of following functions:
- Check – control of the casting machine
- Casting’s recipe treatment with help of an editor
- Daily casting’s archivage of protocols
- Control of signal’s acquisition and visualization on-line
- Acquisition and visualization On – Off-Line of the datum (analogical curves and digital signals)
